I'm experimenting with some ideas around creating healthy/hot compost piles in direct association with our greenhouse that is attached to our home. By running a loop of water piping I got used for $2 through the heart of the compost and then pumping water through that, we should be able to extract heat from the interior of the compost pile. Starting to work in some ways, quite promising in some ways, but definitely a fair bit more work to be done!
