May 8th, 1954. Three fighter jets chased six-engine reconnaissance plane over Norher Finland. It is last known air battle in Finnish airspace.

The situation was embarrassing for Finland, as the parties to the air battle were the USA and the Soviet Union. Finland had no ability to prevent or even detect high altitude overflights, the incident was very actively forgotten.
