Modvion is building the next generation of modular, wooden, wind power towers. In 2020 we built our first prototype tower, reaching 30 meters high, on the island of Björkö in Sweden. The tower is used for research purposes as Modvion prepares to build the first commercial scale wind power tower, made of wood.

The film shows the process of building, transporting and installing our modular tower on a smaller scale. When the towers reach heights of 100+ meters the methods will look a little different. The first commercial tower in collaboration with Varberg Energi, using a Vestas turbine, is planned to be ready in 2023.
