This is how we fixed the failed corrugated layer of our shuttle bus to make the windows sturdy and waterproof. Cardboard isn't something you expect to find in as a structural component of any vehicle. Hopefully this will show why it needs to be addressed and give you some ideas to fix it on your RV conversion build.
