Smart recuperation or Something regeneration. I didn't know it existed and I research the Kona heavily before buying. It's in the manual of course but not in the headline features or options.

Regen braking is definitely a very cool feature in the Kona and implemented better than all the other EVs I've tested, in my opinion.

Smart / Auto recuperation not only automatically selects the regen level but it uses its radar to detect obstructions and vehicles ahead and applies the regen brakes to reduce your speed as you approach obstacles like cars queuing at roundabouts.

The smart use of regen levels not only automates you switching between modes but also helps with one foot driving. Once I understood what it was doing I very quickly started to use it all the time.

It's now my default driving configuration.
