A person called 911 stating that there was a male down in the separated bicycle lane along the roadway. Deputies arrived and found a 48-year-old male who was riding a bicycle downhill in the bike lane in the dark without a helmet.


He apparently hit the curb and was ejected from the bicycle, hitting his head.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. There was no evidence of any vehicles involved.
