Wells Fargo and national nonprofit, Operation HOPE are expanding and placing HOPE Inside centers into more diverse and low- to moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods, to provide free financial education workshops and one-on-one coaching. Financial education and guidance, and an individual’s sense of inclusion and trust are all important factors in bringing more unbanked individuals into mainstream banking.

Darlene Goins, EVP, Head of Philanthropy and Community Impact, President of the Wells Fargo Foundation:

An individual’s sense of belonging and trust are such important factors when we think about removing barriers to financial inclusion. And that's one of the reasons why we've decided to collaborate with Operation Hope. Operation Hope is a national nonprofit focused on economic empowerment through financial education and financial coaching to help historically marginalized communities really gain control of their financial stability and achieve their financial goals. Through this program, we've been able to help hundreds of clients so far to increase their savings, reduce their debt, improve their credit, and get on a successful

financial health journey so that they can realize their dreams. Of the clients served, 75% increased savings by a median of $558, 64% improved their credit by 10 points, and 31% reduced their debt by a median of over $2,000. Those are situation-changing numbers for a lot of households. Wells Fargo is excited to announce that we will be expanding our relationship

with Operation Hope and bringing more Hope Inside centers to communities across the country. In addition to our commitment to have 20 Hope Inside centers by the end of 2023,

we're going to be growing to 50 Hope Inside Centers by 2026. This way we can bring Hope Inside to more communities, to more individuals, to more families so that they can achieve the financial stability and financial freedom that we all deserve. So thank you, Operation Hope, for all that you do to advance financial literacy and the financial well-being of historically marginalized communities across the country. And we couldn't think of a better organization to collaborate with.
