Hey Guy’s! Welcome back to my channel.
In today’s video I’m going to show you how to make Homemade Broth!
I used Smoked Turkey Tails to make this broth which is what I like to use most of the time when I cook greens.
When making broth or stock you basically cook the meat that you are using until all of the flavor is cooked out of it and released in the liquid.
It’s cooked for hours over a medium heat.
I like to make broth ahead of time around holidays so that I will be sure to have enough when cooking all of my delicious dishes.
You can always buy store bought broth but homemade is so easy to make that you can make it yourself. You’ll always end up with more broth and more flavor.

Homemade Turkey Tail Broth:
Two Packs Smoked Tails
1 Large Onion, cut up
Celery, 6 ribs cut up
Carrots, 6 whole cut up
2 Tablespoons Chicken Bouillon
2 Teaspoons Granulated Garlic
2 Teaspoons Granulated Onion
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt

Directions:
Once you have cleaned and washed your turkey tails place them into a large pot. Fill the pot at least halfway full with water.
Add the spices and the vegetables.
Let the pot come to a rapid boil covered.
Once it’s at a rapid boil reduce heat to medium and let the pot come to a rolling boil.
You might want to turn it down one more level and let it cook like this for 6 to 8 hours.
Be sure to taste the broth about halfway through to make sure that it’s flavorful.
Once the broth has cooked for as long as you’d like it to turn it off and let it cool.
Remove the turkey tails from the broth.
All of the flavor is cooked out of them so they might not be too tasty. You can eat them if you’d like.
Keep the veggies and use them for soups, a chicken pot pie or stews later.
If you will be using the broth in the next two weeks you can keep it in the refrigerator.
If you are stocking up on broth place it in ziplock bags and freeze it.
