Unlike regular videos, while watching 360° videos YouTube show us only a specific field of view similar to human eye (by default 100 degrees out of 360). As a result, the resolution of the visible part of 8K video uploaded to our channel is around 2K (1920p). If you watch in 4K mode the resolution of the visible part would be even less - around 1080p (1K).

Please note that AirPano team originally shoots its films in 16,12,10,8K resolution, depending on year and cameras used back then. But before upload to YouTube channel we downscale all our videos to 8K.
