Women’s History Month dates back to its establishment as a national observance in 1981, when Congress authorized and encouraged President Reagan to designate the week starting March 7, 1982, as “Women’s History Week.” Subsequently 1987, following a petition from the National Women’s History Project, Congress officially declared March 1987 as “Women’s History Month.”
This Women’s History Month at Downstate, we are delighted to showcase a special video featuring two distinguished female leaders in our community, Betty Jung, RN, ILDA, and Sarah L. Marshall, DNP, MS, RNP, from our Center for Community Health Promotion.
