He’s been described as one of the finest actors of his generation, celebrated for his roles in Fargo and the Hobbit trilogy, not to mention his award-winning role as Dr Watson in Sherlock (cue screaming fans and Freeman running for cover). Described as a history and politics buff, as well as an avid viewer of quality drama, Martin Freeman In Conversation… promises to be one of the festival’s must-attend sessions. Freeman will discuss his experiences of working on both sides of the Atlantic with upcoming projects including the next Marvel film, Captain America: Civil War and Fun House starring Tina Fey, and of course, his experiences on Sherlock and working with Edinburgh’s inaugural Lifetime Achievement award-winner Beryl Vertue. Although Beryl is sadly unable to attend the TV Awards, Freeman will be on hand to pay tribute to the industry’s legendary producer.
