As a member of the Roma community, Nadia experiences discrimination, even as she fled Ukraine with her family during the war alongside millions of others.

“No matter what your origin, whether Ukraine, Western Ukraine, or Central Ukraine, whether Roma or whoever you are, people should all remain human so we can help each other,” Nadia says.

In Poland, CORE partnered with Harangos to supports the humanitarian needs of refugees from the Roma community, like Nadia and her family, by purchasing food and medicine, helping community members enroll in schools, and connecting them to other services.
