This video is a quick demonstration of how the Nest Protect smoke alarm will work in an actual emergency. Smoke alarms save lives. Whether it's a $5 smoke alarm or a $100 smoke alarm, every home should have some sort of early warning to a fire. Further more, smoke alarms should be placed on every level of the home, inside and outside every bedroom/sleeping area.

The fire extinguisher I used in the video was once a class ABC extinguisher full of dry power. However, years ago I emptied it. Today, I was able to re-pressurise it with water (and make it a class A fire extinguisher) for this demonstration.

Safety should be taken VERY seriously. There were numerous precautions applied off camera to enhance the safety and preparedness of this burn. I am not responsible for YOUR actions.
