What are Superutes? Introduced in 2018 the Supertes is a support category to the Supercars - Australia's biggest racing series (equivalent to the American NASCAR series).
With a chassis sourced from either Mitsubishi Triton, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger or Mazda BT50 the Superutes were originally powered by diesel engines but that's about to change. For 2021 the Superutes will be fitted with an LS3 V8 powerplant controlled by a Haltech ECU.
We take a closer look at the development vehicle for the series to see what secrets lie behind those steel, factory panels.
