Ever since guitar tabs became popular, many guitar players have done their best to avoid music theory. But there are a few simple concepts that can completely revolutionize the way you look at the guitar. If you want to find the key of your favorite songs, improvise guitar solos, communicate effectively with other musicians, identify and play the chords in a song, and write your own music, then knowing some basic theory can go a long way.
