Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

Windy, misty & low cloud kind of day, but many interesting developments uncovered here today at Giga Texas.

Perhaps the biggest news of the day is that for the very first time, over 100 Cybertrucks were visible in the W outbound lot, SW temporary staging lot and the east testing and calibration lot, with more coming out of the factory while I was flying around the site! Truly a milestone day, and I can't wait to see the day when we see over 200 for the first time! at the rate production is ramping, that could be next month!

In the video introduction, I talk about a new event coming up in San Antonio this weekend .. the first EV Truck Rodeo that will have trucks from many different companies, including the Tesla Cybertruck. We are in the heart of Texas in the Austin and San Antonio area, and this also includes being in the middle of truck country! People love their trucks here and this EV truck event is significant as it will help expose a lot of people to what these new truck have to offer. If you are in the area, come by on Saturday! Details in the video!

A few other highlights from today to look for in the video:

The old temporary electrical switchyard is having the last of the transformers and other electrical equipment removed as part of the disassembly process. The entire perimeter fence has been removed, along with all of the steel support structures. Only the three control trailers and the single steel power pole remains.

On the south end of the new End-of-Line facility, the 64 Supercharger station has been paved, while some additional conduit and wiring installation takes place. Soon, we should see the canopy being installed over these superchargers. Many viewers have asked about what they see as an odd arrangement of these Superchargers, but I think what is not yet apparent is the drive-thru nature of how this will work. Once vehicles are using the station, I think it will be obvious how the flow will work.

The Boring Company crews were cutting off the lifting eyelets off of the Prufrock 3 TBM. This is one of the last steps before tunneling operations can begin, as these are not suitable for letting the TBM enter and pass through the tunnel easily. Other crews were finishing the set up of support equipment, an "A-frame" with large steel beams and preparing the bel cassette for operation as well.

I was able to get some good ground-level shots of the inside of the south extension, where we see many steel cables helping to ensure the structure stays square. We also see other activity from this perspective of several other parts of the south construction site.
