In the 1970s, 150 hours of Beatles rehearsal tapes recorded for the "Let It Be" documentary, were stolen and leaked onto the black market. 30 years later they were recovered by British and Dutch police during an intercontinental sting called "Operation Acetone." In 2021, some of these recordings were used for Peter Jackson's "Get Back" docuseries. A goldmine of rare and abandoned Beatles music remains on the cutting room floor.
