For all you guys out there who have 4 to 5 hp. steam engines but can't run them on steam, this is the boiler for you!!
This is my next fire-tube boiler. It includes a brand new style of firebox with the ash pan built into it. It is brand new and weighs around 500 lbs. It measures 80" high to the top of the stack x 24" square at the base. The boiler itself is 20" dia. x 32" tall, made of 3/8" steel. The pop-off valve is set at 70 lbs. The boiler has twenty-two 1-1/2" dia. copper tubes rolled in that are 29" long. The firebox is 22" x 22" x 14" tall with plenty of room for large pieces of wood or lots of coal. The ash pan is built into the base. A feature on this boiler is the the blower ring. With the addition of this item, the draft is increased by ten times. The amount of air moving through the fire is amazing. It also includes a NEW AC electric pump. This boiler will supply enough steam for a 5-6 Hp. engine.
A boiler of this size would cost in the $12,000 range from a boiler shop and that is just for the boiler -- not including the boiler feed pump, water sight-glass, tricocks, antique brass whistle, pop-off valve and early 1900's pressure gauge.
I do pressure test each boiler I have built to 250 lbs. and have sold over 100 boilers with no problems. I have been a welder for 54 years. They are all equipped with steam pressure relief valves. I can install valves to go off at 90 to 150 lbs. I have owned 3 one hundred year old antique boilers. They all were built with 1/4" steel. My boilers are constructed with 3/8" steel and have copper tubes rolled in. They are built to last over 100 years. They will outlast the owners life time!
The lifting table is not included.
