Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is majestic. The mountains look as if they rise up out of nothing, and there they are. You can see glaciers, which fascinated these two Texas women. While there aren't a ton of places to visit at Grand Teton, the general scenery may be what draws people to this national park. That and mountain climbing would be two draws.

Wildlife viewing is another reason people visit Grand Teton. We arrived at the park early and were treated to seeing some female moose. We also saw some deer.

In Jackson or Jackson Hole, we met some people from Jackson who told us where we were more likely to see moose and bear activity. After several detours, one due to a fall festival in Jackson, and one because of a bike race, we got to the place where the bear and moose were supposed to hang out. Unfortunately the bear didn't get the memo, and only one female moose got it.

One of the most fun things we did just outside of Grand Teton National Park is visit a fish hatchery. They specialize in brown trout. It is a national fish hatchery. It was nice to see trout in their various stages of growth before they are ready to be released. There is m
