The Bentley Flying Spur might be the best luxury car on sale today. But have you ever wondered if it really needed 12 cylinders? Well it turns out Bentley definitely did, and decided to remove the giant W12 engine to slot in a slighter, more manageable V8.

Fear not though, the Flying Spur still has enough torque to rip the planet to pieces and is now 100kg lighter than before. Bentley call it "more agile", we're not so sure you can call a 2.2-tonne, 5-metre+ long car manageable, but we needed to test it out to give it a try.
