Thanks to my day job at Kelley Blue Book, I drive and review lots of cars. Today I’m driving a 2019 Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design. Base price is $46,400, not including destination charges. The S60 is Volvo’s entry to the compact luxury sedan category, competing with cars like the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. I’m not a luxury car buyer but if I were the Volvo S60 would rank high on my consideration list. That said, the version I drove in this video was the R-Design and I’m not sure it’d be the right choice for a family sedan.

Just to make sure, I brought my family along for the ride. My wife and daughter have thoughts but my issue with the R-Design is ride comfort, thanks to the R’s stiff sport suspension. Our car also happened to ride on 19-inch wheels, which didn’t help matters. Then again, we all agreed that the 2019 S60 R Design looks great inside and out. Plus, our test car is the S60 T6, whose turbocharged and supercharged 4-cylinder engine produces a robust 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Without a doubt the Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design delivers a good time. But am I getting too old for its rough riding ways? Naturally, a drive the aquarium reveals the answer.

And just so the premise is ultra-clear, this is not a comprehensive review but rather a casual look at the 2019 Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design, while I live my normal life. Simple. Fun! #MicahDrives
