A cooling unit is required for a commercial wine cellar to prevent condensation. However, wine cellar coolers come in two forms – an air-cooled condenser and a water-cooled condenser. These are different in nature but have the same goal which is to keep the temperature and humidity controlled or balanced in a wine cellar. Choosing one over the other isn’t as easy as it may seem.

Air-based coolers make use of fans to regulate the temperature and heat of a wine cellar. A downside to this is that the fans could generate vibrations thus emitting noise. On the other hand, water-based coolers don’t rely on fans but rather on coils to transfer heat outside a wine cellar. As a result, it runs quietly during operation.
