Elon Musk says the Tesla Cybertruck will be lighter than the Ford F150. How light will it be? The Cybertruck Exoskeleton and other factors bring the curb weight much lower than most people are expecting.

That lower curb weight means more range for the Tesla Cybertruck.

By calculating the weight of each part of the Cybertruck exoskeleton, Warren comes up with a surprisingly low number for its weight, compared to the Tesla Model S. Skip ahead to 16:35 for the final numbers.

Warren also uses Model 3 specifications for the various versions to determine how that will increase the Tesla Cybertruck weight from Single Motor to Dual Motor and then to Tri-Motor.

Note: I missed a significant detail. Elon tweeted in February that Cybertruck will be wider, closer to 82 inches. It's not clear whether his latest tweet about a 3% reduction in size applies to the width.
