The production of filament from a pet bottle works on a simple principle. The first step is to cut the tape from the bottle on a simple cutter. The second step is to heat the tape using a heated nozzle with a set temperature of around 210 degrees Celsius. The third step is to guide the first centimeters of the filament onto the winding spool. The process takes about 45 minutes and it is possible to produce about 8 meters of filament from one bottle. The printing temperature is about 250 - 260 degrees Celsius. The filament diameter can be compensated by setting the flowrate in your slicer.
