THINGS I DID BEFORE LAUNCHING MY BUSINESS

STEP 1: Research, Research, Research
STEP 2: Decide on a business name
STEP 3: Search for naming availability (Every state has a secretary of state or other state agency that's responsible for business entity filings. You can use the online tool to search business names and find out whether another business is already using the name you have chosen.)
STEP 4: Checked if the domain name was available (purchase domain and email address) https://domains.google/?gclid=CjwKCAi...
STEP 5: Filed for LLC (state filing fees vary)
STEP 6: Applied for EIN (FREE)
STEP 7: Ordered candle vessels, fragrances, wicks, warning labels, boxes etc.
STEP 8: Purchased materials to make my own labels (paper, adhesive, paper trimmer, ) https://www.michaels.com/search?q=car...

STEP 9: Used Shopify to setup website (there is a 14 day free trial, $29 per month after for the basic plan) https://www.shopify.com/
STEP 10: Began testing wicks and fragrance load
STEP 11: Began making candles!
STEP 11: Photographed product to upload to website and social media
STEP 12: Announced soft launch!

I know, this looks like a stressful list of things to do. Trust me, I've been there. But it is SO WORTH IT in the end!
