Directors Hans Block and Moritz Riesewieck were at Sundance with their new documentary “Eternal You,” which follows startups using AI to create avatars that allow grieving relatives to talk with their loved ones after they have died. The documentarians stopped by the IndieWire Studio, presented Dropbox, to talk about both the possibility and danger of what they saw as generative AI rapidly develop, and companies look to get rich without taking responsibility for software they develop.
