If we can’t physically see it, how do we know what’s really happening? The final two Commandments found in Exodus chapter 20 (Do Not Bear False Witness and Do Not Covet) take the first 8 action-based Commandments we have studied over these past 8 weeks and turn to an inward focus. What do God’s Commandments say about the desires of our heart? How can we best align our heart-place with God’s call to love our neighbor? What impact do the desires of my heart have on others around me?

By looking through the lens of the Israelites in the Book of Exodus, and through the Book of Psalms, this week we will begin to explore what God says about telling the truth and how doing so or not doing so can impact not only our lives, but the lives of those in our community.
