While home in Maine for Christmas, some friends and I explored downtown Portland! This coastal town has tons of unique stores, perfect for window-shopping!

Growing up 2 hrs away, I typically only visited Portland when I needed to fly in and out of the airport. It wasn't until recently that I discovered all that downtown has to offer!

But isn't that the case? We typically think of travel as going somewhere far away, when we haven't taken the time to appreciate what's around us. Wherever you live, I encourage you to get out there and explore your world!

Since I often visit Maine, I plan to show you more of Portland, from its famous headlight, to high-end restaurants, to ferry rides, to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's house!
