When visiting Colonial Williamsburg throughout the years, I've often envisioned the thrill of suddenly colliding into unexpected scenes from the past.

Not just planned, time-slotted portrayals carefully carried out by the talented and knowledgeable interpreters of Colonial Williamsburg but more so, fascinating improvised scenes where the way of living here, could be truly highlighted and brought back to life.

There are so many vivid scenarios that could be demonstrated all throughout the old Capitol grounds. Truly, a wealth of outstanding historical locations here to bring each of them to life, I often thought to myself.

Colonial Williamsburg is an outdoor living history museum that is the perfect setting for so many of the important characters, stories, and sub-plots from the past just waiting to be rehashed for modern-day visitors.

I was happy to discover, the city has rebirthed a popular Colonial Williamsburg Street Theatre event, similar to what used to be in full effect here not so long ago. It now takes place bearing the name, Intersections.

I narrowly missed my window of opportunity to catch a live street performance that staged the planning and preparations taking place for a festive Holiday Ball that was happening at the Raleigh Tavern in the Apollo Room. Set in the winter of 1773, the outdoor performance would happen right along the Duke of Gloucester Street, in front of this well-visited tavern of old.

I quickly jumped in the van on a rainy Saturday morning, leaving Sarah behind for this one, and headed out to hopefully get a good glimpse of the presentation.

View the entire Colonial Williamsburg Street Theater performance as I saw it on this cool, December day nearing Christmas in the old colonial capitol of Virginia.

For clarity's sake, I split the video into 5 separate scenes, Acts 1-5. Each with brief narrated scene descriptions.
