Here is another one of my examples from my career...

Part of my work in servicing our client Studio Movie Grill (SMG) while opening their first Los Angeles-based location in Glendale, CA, was to raise awareness within the community and to help bring new guests to the theater. At the time of their opening in Oct. 2019, Studio Movie Grill had 7 other locations in California and some 30+but nationwide. This was their first location close to Hollywood.

Although the toy drive was originally slated to include only the Glendale location, I quickly realized that this could become a state-wide campaign and pitched the concept to the SMG head office. They immediately LOVED the idea and so did Toys for Tots and KTTV.

The idea was so popular and they received SO many new, unwrapped toys, Studio Movie Grill had trouble storing all of the toys and the Marines were obliged to make numerous collections weekly to keep up with the volume. The concept was easy: donate a new, unwrapped toy at any SMG location and the recipient would receive a free movie ticket. We did not impose a limit on the number of toys donated and no one tried to abuse the spirit of the campaign.

During the 3-week toy drive, there were daily reminders during the morning, afternoon and evening news on KTTV Fox 11 about the top drive as well as a digital campaign on the KTTV Fox 11 news web site and in their social as well. It was a great campaign supported by digital, social, TV and mobile reminders of the toys for movie tickets program. I also created slides for in-theater and posters for the lobby area and POS to encourage guests to come back and donate a toy to see a movie for free.

With minimal cost, the campaign resulted in tremendous exposure and increased awareness within the community and beyond. This was a homerun for the client and for Toys for Tots. As well, I was able to secure over $2,500 of brand new, unopened toys and games from Funko! to help start the toy drive and fill those bins for the segment shot for KTTV to kick off the campaign.

NOTE: I do not own the copyright to this video. I am sharing this as a sample of one of my many campaigns done during my career.
