This video begins by describing Moscato. Moscato is a sweet wine that comes from the Muscat family of grapes. These grapes are similar to the grapes you eat and the ones that are made into raisins. Moscato is typically considered a sweet wine with low alcohol content.

Rosé is the next sweet wine we recommend for beginners. Rosé gets its pink color from the wine being soaked with the grape skins, but not long enough to become red wine. Rosé typically has an alcohol content around 12% and contains floral and red fruit notes.

Our next favorite sweet wine we recommend beginners try is Riesling. Riesling comes from a white grape variety. The most popular Rieslings come from Germany and this wine tends to have a higher acidity level. Riesling comes in a variety of sweetness levels, such as dry, semi-sweet, sweet, or even sparkling.

After Riesling, we recommend beginners try Sangria. Sangria is a sweet wine cocktail made from Rioja wine. Although it is not just wine, it is a way that many wine drinkers are introduced into the world of wine, and that's why we included it on this list. Sangria originates from Portugal and Spain. Common fruits included in a Sangria are oranges and berries. Other ingredients include brandy, sparkling water, and liquors.

White blend wine is our last favorite type of sweet wine for beginners to drink. White blends are a mix of different types of grapes blended together to make wine. When different varieties of grapes are blended together, the flavors balance each other out and give a smooth finish.

Our honorable mentions include Port, Sherry, Ice Wines, and White Zinfandel. None of these types of wines are our favorite to recommend as sweet wines for beginners.

Tip 1: It's tough to pick out one specific wine that anyone will enjoy. Drinking wine is a journey. You have to try a lot of different types of wines to figure out which types you'll enjoy the most.

Tip 2: The more wines you drink, the more your taste develops. The more your taste develops, the more you may eventually want to try more complex and dry wines.

Tip 3: Try the dry version of the sweet wines we previously mentioned. The dry versions can still be very easy for beginners to drink, but won't give you as much of a headache.
