Madden 2003 still holds up 20+ years later!! Best Franchise Mode+Gameplay combination in madden history imo!

Madden 2003 is the best franchise mode for players looking for a good Madden with nice franchise mode options, solid sim stat results, the best player progression/regression in any madden, and above all else stellar on-the-field action!

Madden 2004 may ultimately be better for most people, but for me personally, the on-the-field action is just slightly too FAST paced for my liking. If you were to just purely simulate however, Madden 2004 may actually be the best for that (2005 is very good for pure-sim Madden too). Don't get me wrong, I love Madden 2004 though, an A+ game, and one of my all-time favorites! (and Madden 2005 was probably my favorite growing up tbh).

Any Madden franchise after 2005 on PS2/Xbox (so '06-12) is pretty much unplayable to me because it's too easy for me to beat the CPU. As far as using those franchise modes for pure sim, they all have stat/player progression issues. These can be fixed with editors and slider settings, but imo not worth it for me personally b/c I like to play most of the games.
