The mods for the Seckit SK-GO are under way. It already has a nice extruder/hot end combo, but how much could it be improved by reducing the print carriage mass by 161 grams? The Flex3drive G5 extruder is as its name suggests: a remotely mounted stepper motor, driving a flex cable to a super small and light weight hobbed gear above the hot end. The light weight of a bowden tube with the control of a direct drive.

I guess my results are inconclusive until I design a new part cooling fan duct. I'd also like to try uppin the X/Y acceleration values. I do no that this extruder has matched the factory setup, which is great considering this is the best quality printing machine I have. It also matches the very impressive flexible performance of the Hemera.

I feel this extruder would be amazing on another printer that suffered badly from ringing.
