The #BMW M Division creates the company's ultimate models. Or do they? You see, a German company called #Alpina works closely with BMW to develop its own fast versions of the company's models, one of which has just been refreshed for the 2020 model year.

We had a chance to drive the 2020 Alpina #B7, which was just updated alongside the BMW 7 Series. It now features more power, new engine software, revised transmission logic, and the larger grille found on the standard 7 Series.

Under the hood sits a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that Alpina has tuned to produce 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It provides buttery smooth acceleration up to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph.

With bespoke materials and unparalleled ride comfort, the Alpina B7 is now our favorite BMW model on sale today. It simply feels special, which it should do given its price tag of $141,700.
