By far the most used crop insurance available from risk management agency is revenue protection, RP. RP in 2022 was used on 93% of the insured acres for corn in Illinois. Of that 93%, most of the use was in high coverage levels 75, 80 and 85% coverage levels. In recent years, people have been adding supplemental coverage option and eco to those products and that currently is used on 17% of the acres and that 17% is used almost exclusively on RP.
