Science fiction, conspiracies and physics collide in this film about the machine that has scientists enthralled.

In 2008, the 'Large Hadron Collider' gripped the world with fears that the massive machine filling a 27km circular tunnel would engulf the planet in a black hole. Doomsday was approaching according to the media, yet physicists were unperturbed. "You could never produce sufficient anti-protons [for such a feat]", explains one CERN scientist. Two years on Doomsday has not yet arrived and the machine has collided sub-atomic particles with an energy reminiscent of the Big Bang.
