I typically went to Japan a few times a year for business but after 3 years of not being able to go because of the 'demic, I finally got to go a few weeks ago and of course, my first stop was the best store in Japan. period. Folks always ask me about the double pen clip made of brass and leather. The Superior Labor is a TINY workshop out of Japan so shipments to stockists around the world at few and far between. My recommendation is to search "Superior Labor Pen Clip + *Your Country or City*" and at least find a local retailer that is an authorized dealer. They'll likely be sold out, but at least you can sign up for their email list and be notified as soon as they're back in stock.

By the way, if you're planning a trip to Japan, just a note that their Narita Airport location is on the landside (PRE-SECURITY) in Terminal 1 on the 4th floor. Basically, when leaving Japan, get to Narita airport at least 45 minutes earlier than you would typically, so you have time to browse and shop. Unfortunately, they do not have a location at Haneda airport (yet).

My Travelers Notebook is THE most constant item in my everyday carry. I don't think adding a notebook to your EDC makes sense if you won't use it, but at the same time, I think using a notebook is the best way to gain clarity and plan quickly.
