From the Academy Award winning film, Coco. Miguel's family has an intense dislike for music because Miguel's great-great grandfather reportedly left his grea-great-grandmother and young daughter to pursue a career playing music. According to the story, Miguel's great-great-grandfather (tatara abuelo) left and never came back, leaving his tartara-abuela to raise their young daughter, Coco. Tarara-abuela decided to make shoes for a living, a trade she passed down to her descendants. Miguel, however, is a singer and a guitar player, but he is not allowed to play or listen to music or even talk about it. While shining a mariachi's shoes, he talks of his dreams of being a singer. The mariachi hands Miguel his guitar so that he can demonstrate his skills, but his abuela arrives on the scene to put and end to that - LOL. I thought this scene was funny because abuela throws her shoe at Dante and says, "Now go get my shoe." LOL
