I think the take home message from all of this is really that it's to take a deep breath. There's sometimes is a technical correct answer but there's always a slightly easier process. So, yes you can file an E3, a secondary E3 separately from the first one you've got. You can do the family separate from the principles E3 appointment. But realistically, most of these things if you sort of think about it, it's going to be easier to do it all at once, do it fresh, go get an appointment, get the visa, save yourself the heartache that comes with, it's a stressful process already. You don't need to pile on top.
