How to first fix a shower valve

Carpenters and joiners are often tasked with the job of first fixing for complicated bathroom fittings working closely with plumbers, in this video I adjust some stud walling to take a recessed shower valve ready to board over and tile, this is a job that you can easily get wrong if you do not have all the information that you will need such as wall board thickness, tile and adhesive thickness. I have seen plenty of fixtures fitted in bathrooms that fail because the original fixing depth of the valve was wrong, this caused lots of headaches down the line

My advice is take great care and make sure that the you know all the relevant information before you start!!
