This tune, Nancy Sinatra's signature song, was written and produced by Lee Hazlewood. Originally Hazlewood sang the song, but Nancy persueded him that it would seem less abusive in theme if it was released with a female vocal. "Boots" was released in Feb. 1966 and it went to #1 in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Nancy had a number of other solo chart hits and duets with other performers including her dad, Dean Martin and Lee Hazlewood.
