At the end of August, Charles Taylor leaves the presidency of Liberia after weeks of conflict in the capital of Monrovia. Will his departure put an end to 13 years of a civil war which left between 100,000 and 200,000 dead?
Nothing is less certain, because today, only Monrovia escapes violence. In the rest of the country, fighting is still taking place. Paul Comiti spent the months of July and August in the country, at the height of the fighting.
The hatred between the factions, the wealth to be plundered, the manipulated child soldiers and the drugged soldiers... everything that the team was able to film bodes ill for lasting peace.
