We’ve rounded up the best easter eggs from the new Disney Plus animated series, Cars On The Road! You already know that there are tons of Cars movie easter eggs, so it’s no surprise that the nine episode series is also packed with hidden references.

Cars On The Road follows Lightning McQueen and Mater on a road trip with lots of fun and clever stops along the way. Audiences can spot characters in the clouds, parodies of other genres like sci-fi and horror, and homages to different styles of animation, like Harryhausen’s old stop-motion films or the whimsical interpretation of The Great Beyond from Pixar’s own movie, Soul.

The series also features lots of classic Pixar easter eggs. Of course, you’ll find the Pizza Planet Truck and if you’ve got a good eye, you’ll spot the A113. There are also nods to Pixar animation artists hidden in the names of fake businesses. These can be easy to miss, so we made sure to point out exactly where to find them!

But the references don’t stop at Pixar. Cars On The Road also includes clever allusions to Stanley Kubrik’s The Shining, Indians Jones, a few Disney Parks attractions and an iconic scene from Star Wars. We even get a Mad Max cameo!
