In Statistics, when we do Hypothesis Testing, we are supposed to have two hypotheses: A primary, or Null Hypothesis and an Alternative Hypothesis. This StatQuest explains why we need the Alternative Hypothesis, even though Hypothesis Testing tends to focus on the Null.
