Earlier this month, I was honored to join Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren and members of Tribal leadership to celebrate and see firsthand the historic investments we’ve delivered for the Nation.

Currently, many parts of the Navajo Nation rely on a depleting and poor-quality groundwater supply. Thanks to my bipartisan infrastructure law, we secured $139 million to fund the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project to ensure a more reliable and safer water supply for generations to come - delivering a long-term solution to a decades-old challenge for the Nation.

From protecting ancestral homelands through the new Grand Canyon National Monument, repairing roads, expanding broadband, and strengthening water security, we’ve achieved tremendous success by working side-by-side with the Navajo Nation.

I’m incredibly grateful for President Nygren’s partnership. We’ll keep working together to fuel opportunities and deliver lasting solutions for Arizona’s tribal communities.
