So who could have opened the drapes? & Who then "Took Out" the assassins?
We know for certain it couldn't have been Kay, for obvious reasons. Fredo was an underboss in the Corleone family, and would have had his own loyal men. But given that she was the one asking about them, it seems that they were closed before she went to sleep. Therefore it has to be someone whose presence in the compound did not raise any suspicion, at the same time, have regular access to the most private locations in the compound, including the don's bedroom.There are 3 possibilities: The first being, Rocco or Fredo themselves went into the bedroom and opened them. The second,They sent someone on their behalf to do it, probably one of the maids. Or the other possibility would have been that Roth himself simply got a hold of one of the housekeeping staff, and told them to have them opened. All quite likely scenarios. But what we are trying to focus on is if Rocco was involved. Where Neri was more of Michael’s personal bodyguard alongside his other duties, Rocco was Michael’s head of security in the Corleone compound in Lake Tahoe.
