On Sunday, November 18 2022, Remy Oktay set out with a group of students and staff from Lafayette College and volunteers from the community to do the first cross-country flying in a Pipistrel Alpha Electro, one of only 7 such planes in the US! What's truly unique here is the way Remy got this done, in a much shorter amount of time to recharge during stops than the unequipped local airports between CT and PA would allow. Volunteer's Ford's F-150 Lightning Lariat all electric pickups were equipped with the portable AC to DC chargers from Pipistrel, along with some custom cabling and firmware, to charge safety at the full 28A at each small airport stop. Remy giving us a deep dive overview of charging, the flying experience, and the aviation industry's transition to a more sustainable future. Remy is also bringing awareness to this feat with a planned fly-over at Lafayette College's football game. He also shares his passion for letting the world know about unleaded fuel called G100UL now being available for all general aviation small planes. I have many more details of this flight posted at https://TinkerTry.com/tbp277
