The Dark Knight Rises gave a proper conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s film take on Batman and Bruce Wayne, but it did suggest in its final moments that the crime-fighting might go on. It was revealed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s cop character’s first name was actually Robin and that he knew where the Batcave was.

Some people thought it was just a nice little bonus for fans, while others believed it might be a sequel hook for a standalone Robin film.
