Boycotts, hundreds of millions in losses - is this the end of the iconic chain?

In 2019 we did a complete review of planet fitness with expected earnings cost to invest and whether it was a good investment at the time. Today probably not a great idea to buy a Planet Fitness as they are hemorrhaging hundreds of millions of dollars and losing thousands of members due to this ongoing boycott.

When you buy a franchise remember that the decisions made by corporate will also reflect on your location, and your values should reflect those of the franchise you buy. Don't be afraid to ask questions about these things.

Anyway - so what happened is a woman, Patricia Silva went into her Planet Fitness to change and there was what appeared to be to her a fully intact man changing and shaving at the sink. Woman confronted the man who told her he is LGB. Woman goes to front desk and complains there is a fully intact man in the woman's changeroom at the same time as a 12 year old girl, and snaps a picture shared to social media. Planet Fitness cancels woman's membership and files a police report against her. Their official statement was
'This discomfort is not a reason to deny access to the transgender member.'

What nobody is discussing is this "discomfort" as they put it is the reason why men's and woman's changerooms were separated in the first place. Woman didn't want to see wieners, so they got their own changerooms.

So women and men around the country are not happy with this decision and are leaving planet fitness in droves. Stock tanked losing hundreds of millions of dollars. This could potentially prompt a shareholder lawsuit as it could be argued this decision was impulsive, poorly thought out and doomed to tank shareholder value.

I'm not taking sides because I have never been in a Planet Fitness nor will I ever. But the first question I would ask is why is one persons discomfort treated with a higher level of validity?
We need an answer to that question beyond just "feelings" and virtue signaling. Why is the genuine female concern of being in close proximity to a complete strangers Weiner, just brushed off. And if Planet Fitness really cares why don't they create a unisex changeroom instead of taking sides.

The second question" is Planet Fitness qualified to determine the difference between a predator and a genuine transgender person. Despite popular media claims, most people dont have a problem with transgender, Blair White is transgender and very popular among conservatives and nobody has a problem with Blair White in a womans change room. Dave Rubin, openly gay conservative 2 million subscribers, Doug Murray, openly gay very conservative.

Advocates say predators dont take advantage of these opportunities, but we know that not to be true. In fact assaults have happened at schools, to young girls, and were covered up. In perhaps the most famous case Superintendent Scott Ziegler said their school had never had any form of incident inside a bathroom or locker room involving a transgender child and actually quoted this Time magazine propaganda piece. That was determined to be untrue and shortly after a juvenile who had used the self identify policy to gain access to the girls bathroom was criminally charged.

Are there predators and sick people in our society? The answer is yes. This is not a question even directed at transgender people. Now could some of these predators look at this policy as a loophole to enter womens historically safe spaces? The answer is obvious. Next question, do mechanisms exist to be able to tell the difference between a potential predator and a genuine transgender person, and what mechanisms are in place to protect women? Zero. This decision is given to the complete discretion of the identifying party. So anyone can say they are a woman and go into womans changerooms, womens prisons, womans washrooms, anywhere. To me, this seems somewhat unfair to women but I'm not a woman or transgender so Ill stay out of it.
