The media screen in the Ford Explorer comes as either a standard 8" landscape or optional 10.1" portrait media screen. While the screen is still on Ford's last gen Sync3 system, it offers good functionality with support for wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. That means you can use factory navigation or use map applications on your phone like Google Maps or Waze!

One thing I'd like to see is Ford utilizing more of the screen real estate with the backup camera and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay but that may not be here until the Explorer gets upgraded to include the newer gen Sync4 system.
